CL came to Arizona from Texas in 1968 as a Life Insurance salesman. After 17 years in that profession, where he had obtained many honors as a top salesman, he resigned and became the proprietor of a fast food operation in Phoenix.
He missed the challenge and thrill of the personal sales activity and in April of 1977 started his Real Estate career, in Phoenix, selling income properties. In 1981 he obtained his broker's license.
After 11 years of Real Estate activities, CL and his wife Carol Ann, purchased the Chaparral Homemade Ice Cream Parlor in Wickenburg, as an investment. In 1989, the Beards moved to Wickenburg and after a few years of successful operation of The Chaparral, it was decided that CL would go back doing what he liked the best, selling.
At that time he joined the Century 21 Arizona West team. He really likes the variety of homes, land and businesses he deals with through them, and enjoys serving his clientel in this dynamic little community.
The Beards sold the Chaparral in 2003 and in 2004, Carol Ann obtained her Real Estate License and joined CL at Century 21 Arizona West and thus the birth of the "Dynamic Duo".
